"Then was then and now is now..."

The Queens veteran Mr. Complex takes 'em back - first with some commentary on the New New York scene and then his new song "Then Was Then" featuring Truth Enola.

The track is off his new project Forever New, which features O.C., Sadat X, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Prince Po, Maya Azucena, Nadine Michel, General DV, Tiye Phoenix, Brianna Nadeau, Caitlyn Riedel and Respect The God.

Mr. Complex is a well-known NYC indie hip-hop mainstay, as part of New York’s Rawkus/Lyricist Lounge movement, alongside peers like Pharaohe Monch, Mos Def, Talib Kweli and more. Complex is also now part of the Polyrhythm Addicts group, which includes DJ Spinna, Shabaam Sahdeeq, and Tiye Phoenix.

Produced entirely by Mortal 1Forever New has two other music videos now playing (“Time And A Place” x “Lesbo Flo”), which you can check out here.  And he also recently dropped the visuals for “I’m Ready” featuring Dres of Black Sheep.
